It has been incredibly nice to hear from friends old and new. That’s what I hoped for most in starting this site. Welcome everyone!
I was asked why I said “NO!!!” to the question of meditation in a recent talk.
As I was explaining they said, “I get it! It’s that it’s just a ritual.”
My point is that we are connected right now!
RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT YOU ARE COMPLETELY CONNECTED!!!
Awareness of this first and foremost.
Meditate all you want. But don’t think that you are only “connected” then. What’s different is that you are more aware that you are connected in meditation. But you always are connected, and it is our awareness of how gorgeous we are, all the time, that will change our world, because it will change our daily actions.
Awareness now! In all the things that we have to do today that are unlike being in meditation.
You are all ways connected. If you weren’t you wouldn’t be alive.
You can quiet the thoughts that aren’t in line with your goodness, but I suggest a more forward approach.
Own yourself now.
Own your beauty now.
Set it down for nothing.
And go forward in that.
You can, you can, you can, oh yes, you can!

I’m pleased you’ve clarified your points on meditation. Meditation is a way to allow soul to quiet itself - to sit - to still the rampaging thoughts that fill normal hours. It can be a source to realize connection to All That Is.
Clearly we are all “connected” all the time - how can we not be? The Life-Force is in every micron of our being. But humans havent taken a moment (collectively) to consider that fact. Thus the great mystics, masters and teachers taught meditation as a way to sit, be still, quiet the mind and let the connection flow.
Most dont have the awareness of the connection. Many meditating are finding it, feeling it and loving it.
I would not toss out the tool of meditation with the bathwater of connection.

“Thought, intention and beliefs hold us bound up.”
The thought that you have to meditate to get there keeps us bound up from being it without meditation.

Right on, I quiet my mind to allow what is true, and I do that in dance, I do it in song, I do it with laughter, I do it through creating, daily, I really never do it in the lotus position. Point is, if its a “should”, I can’t easily feel the joy in it. Mine is mine, and yours is yours, and its always “connected”, all love, love, love, for me its the fun in the joy of it , I know I am always “with”, but it is so obvious when its fun! I frankly fall asleep when I “meditate”, (and there is greater work to be done there), but thats another story…….

Also, I think there is a misunderstood notion that having the “abilty” to connect is somehow reserved for a quiet, calm, even keeled lot. It certainly may be found in that vibration, however the exuberane of the vast array of emotion, be they one or the other, is a piece to the whole that can not be left out. Be aware of the reality of emotions, the belief that feelings are dangerous will generate fear of all of them, and one can become confused by displaying anything other than the most “reasonable” calm behavior, and not be “able” to meditate. But I could be wrong….

I continue to hold to the knowing that while being “connected” can be stated as a fact, for the majority of people they have no idea what that means, much less how to get connection. Unless they are taught a way, then its all words. Meditation is a tool that aids conscious knowing of being connected to source - especially for the majority who are struggling.
Abraham (Esther-Jerry Hicks) states unequivocally that the tool of meditation aids in teaching someone how to get in the flow, or the current.
We serve by serving.

Hmmmm, I’m thinking if you have laughed before, you have felt connection.
If you have felt good and true at any time, you know what connection is.
If you have ever felt your heart to be full, you know what connection is.
I think we do know
I think it is so much more simple than we make it, and having it not be simple imprisons people.
We are inherently good and maybe have a “responsibility” so to speak, as adults trying to do the best we can in this world, to bring that out, whether or not we are meditating, for it is a ritual to remind you what you already had before you went into meditation.
No struggling, because you are beautifully connected right now!
What do ya’ll think?

How timely this discussion for me as I am now exploring by own believes on the subject of meditation. I think I am arriving at the conclusion that my idea of what meditation is is limited. Sitting on my couch, closing my eyes and breathing in out, in out, helps me to quiet my mind. And has helped me to interrupt my habitual negative thought patterns and move forward and that is good. But I do not call that meditation. So I find myself believing I “should” meditate in my idea of what is meant by ‘eastern philosophy’ meditation. To go within to better connect to source, to open an awareness of different realities/dimensions/perceptions, to ‘astral project’, etc., etc. After all, if I don’t what am I missing? And I so dislike being left out of something! (with humor). Although I historically have struggled with this. So I have set out and joined a class which I am currently involved. The class involves guided meditation to connect with spirt guides. And I struggle. I find guided meditation of this sort limiting. I also find that what I am really trying to accomplish in my idea of meditation is to be in a place other than I am! And so I ask myself, “What about here?” What about THIS dimension? What is wrong with here?! I obviously chose to be here. All I need I already have! What about the beauty around me? What about the experience I had of connection and conversation with ‘God’ at 13 years of age in 1968 while contemplating the age of the cobblestone paved street I stood on in Amsterdam. What about the experience I had a few years ago while looking closely at flowers in a planter and suddenly finding myself a part of that universe, that awareness, that reality? What about all the things in front of my face! I can go without to go within! For it is all me, all us, all one. I had forgotten that. I had stopped seeing, stopped looking where I find myself. It has always been right in front of my face. Sorry for this length. Thank you all.

Everything, every second, all the time, around the clock, continuous connection, raining, sunshine, walking, cooking, changing a diaper, picking up dog poop, cleaning a cat box, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, preparing a meal, blowing leaves, conducting business, sculpting, painting..
Passion,
A FULL TIME wonderful awareness of JOY . always and in all circumstances (even when it DOESN’T FEEL like it).
LIFE LOVED is a consistent connection with being present.
IT ALL HAPPENS between your ears —–so — enjoy it all!!
Change your mind, think peace, LOVE and embrace what’s so and you will never FEEL searching.. WE ARE always connected..
LOVE, NO MATTER what…..
Life is a meditation.
Peace of mind is aquired. :>)

so, now can we open the conversation about how different this process of procreation into life into death and into creation again can look. yea, you know the conversation we had that we still have to continue.
my question: knowing that we are connected at all times, understanding the beauty and the value of ourselves, knowing this and sharing it with each other………we put the penis in the vagina, make an egg 9months baby grow grow grow, awareness, awareness, awareness, older more awareness die to do it all over again…………………………………………….what will be the next way of our existence? when will this process no longer be necessary and what will the new look and feel like? we are evolving right? wouldn’t this be fun to talk about? will we only speak from the center of our solar plexis and enter into the physical relm through the mountains, with the awareness that we want to feel what it is like to create something and then return to non physical. a shorter distance between our “life and death” to be more like a weekend on earth to get a creation done. Ha!

Jill I think we need to share music files! I think you’ve got ‘em all

i dont believe in evolution,i think that conjures up a randomness that i am not with, one all follows the other, but its is the thought energy that motivates changes, inspires direction, and that fluctuates in and out of everywhere, everyway, evertime, with everthing, sending desire then in a way that is predictable, and i for one am in no hurry to exist minus the penis and vagina, i think “death” is creation, and i am existing in all ways, always, and at no point has any of this been “necessary”. We have everything, know everything, are everything, that, is the more. goddess angela, take a look at all you are!
September 10th, 2007 at 6:26 pm e
God, I know Angela and I agree with taking a look at ALL she is.
I have never known such richness as this woman.
But I know what you mean Angela.
And let’s really have the conversation.
But can I ask first (without dismantling your original question)
“to be more like a weekend on earth to get a creation done”
how can we have you live with us until you are 110 and all those years feel as good as that one weekend, therefore you want it to last 110 years, therefore those 110 years seem so short.
What can we do to make it like that?
I have some ideas………..
And can I add that when you die those 110 years will feel like five minutes, a blip, and so you would have to get all that you want to accomplish done in one blip. And being ALL that you are, well….
September 11th, 2007 at 8:35 am e
i knew you would say that erin. in the big picture, it is just a weekend on earth.
lovenyou
September 11th, 2007 at 8:37 pm e
Erin, I was absolutley delighted when you joined me in singing the happiness song! I am so grateful you started this blog where we all can sing our hearts! Now, looks like ya’ll have taken off & left me behind. A lot of meaty stuff here! I’ll have to re-read it when I am not so tired. Then I think I shall sit back and watch where you’re going. Hey, Paula, that was pretty.
September 12th, 2007 at 4:12 pm e
yes, traci and veronica, your comments felt like being punched in the face three times and then being handed a rose to soften the blow. i felt misunderstood and judged.
September 13th, 2007 at 11:24 am e
well that feels like a great place to begin, we are not required to agree to be in love. i want to say what i feel in response to you, you, if my response felt so misplaced, perhaps i wasnt responding to what you really feel. i think this is where most of our confusion occurs. what about my opinions/beliefs makes you so uncomfortable?
September 13th, 2007 at 3:18 pm e
it does feel like a great place to begin thank-you, and your right. that’s sounds like a great response for someone who doesn’t like to take responsibility for their words. you can say what ever you want because how the person feels, well, thats on them.
misunderstood and juged was what i said. then i thought about it further and realized it wasn’t what you said but, more of the passive aggressive nature in which it was written, in my opinion. if you are responding to what YOU feel…………………………….then you wouldn’t have addressed it to me.
September 13th, 2007 at 5:17 pm e
I am sorry that we are not understanding each other, i was responding to your comment, as well as hoping to engage any one in a bit more discussion, maybe im not familiar with this process. My intentions are certainly not to offend, I was trying to clarify your comment/question, relax. This may be a bit passive aggressive.
September 14th, 2007 at 9:10 am e
thank-you for your words and this banter. its important for you to know how much i’ve enjoyed speaking my mind and hearing your thoughts even if we don’t agree. this is a beautiful place for me to honor my voice inside, its been quiet for way too long.
thanks traci/ veronica
September 14th, 2007 at 11:59 am e
see, we do agree! sing it sister! let it flow, let yourself go!(beasties)
September 15th, 2007 at 8:17 am e
angela, traci & veronica, what a beautiful display of communication! You guys are truly awesome! This forum (computer) leaves us without our PHYSICAL senses that we so rely on in face to face conversations. In face to face, we pick up on facial expresions and vibrations (I’m talking through the physical sense of touch & emotion) of the person speaking and get what they are truly saying in spite of their chosen words. And even then we can mis-construe meaning. Maybe this forum is a great way to exercise our non-physical senses! Anyway, that was beautiful.
Some mechanical questions…..can we bold & underline in these boxes? I do so love DRAMA! And Erin, were you speaking figuratively when you said to turn up your speakers? Or was there a sound bite I was suppose to be able to click on? 25 years ago I was on the cutting edge of technology, now I can’t even adjust the volume on my cell phone!
I have other questions like Erin, what is meant by all styles? I can’t remember the word you used right now–I don’t think it was ‘master’ but when you talk about being ‘master’ of all styles. I am also interested in some of the things Angela (I think it was you Angela) brought up. Not so much the penis & vagina but a new way of being evolving? I’m sure all will unfold–I am interested.
September 15th, 2007 at 10:59 am e
Jill, you music lover, I was speaking literally. Click on the arrow highlighted green to listen. Speaking of music, I said I was a specialist in all styles, in response to a question about the different style the ONE WAY post was written Specialist in all styles is actually the name of an album from a group called Orchestra Baobob.
I think it’s a great description for where we all are going….specialists in All styles…..
Here’s my favorite song from that album:
Hommage A Tonton Ferrer- click here, it’s the last audio arrow
I’m trying to change things around so we can have bold AND underlined……
September 15th, 2007 at 3:58 pm e
Ok. I don’t have an arrow highlighted green. I’ve got a portion of a red x. But no need to respond further, this is my disability. I will get my indigo children on the problem! Apparently we don’t have the same songbook! I didn’t want to break the illusion but mine mainly consists of old, obscure ditties, the beatles & prince! Oh, yeah! And lots, and lots, and lots of show tunes! Thanks for the answers! I will follow that link.
Peace
Jill
