It's 2005 and I'm in a club in LA dancing to "Dream Machine".
(Audio Clip at bottom of page, listen to it now!)
And it reminds me of my grandmother!
She would always ask after I opened my presents, "did you get everything you asked for?" When she said it with a gleam in her eye, Irish eyes they call it, but I call it more, I knew that she was referring to more than what was unwrapped in front of me. It was a surreptitious look, one that we all at one time have shared with another, one that says, do you see how much more is going on here?
It was a loaded question, I could answer like a child or I could meet her in kind.
Did you get everything you asked for?

The physical universe itself is a conglomeration of diverse individualistic symbols, none of which means precisley the samething to any two individuals, and in which even so called basic qualities like color and placement in space cant be relied upon, you merely focus on the similarities. The ego is the only part of the self that reguards objects as anything but symbols. If you mistake the symbols for the reality, however you will program your experience and you will insist that each forest looks like the pictures in your book, expecting your experiences to be more or less the same.....in other words, christmas."now let's all go out for ipods!"
That's such a great Seth quote!

I have always gotten everything I asked for. Now that I know this I am being clearer, more deliberate, excited & joyful in the asking! Giggle, Giggle! I can't help it--it just makes me giggle!
